Babies are born
everyday. Having a baby is a natural
part of life. We
grow up and have families. Commercials
advertise everything
from home pregnancy tests, diapers,
baby food, Juicy
Juice, educational and developmental toys.
Working labor and
delivery I faced the hearts breaking of
families who were
forced to face the fact that a pregnancy
doesn’t guarantee a
pink, soft, chubby, cooing baby goes
home with them.
From the time we knew
we were pregnant, we
began planning for
this baby.
When a child, infant
dies, it destroys, and steals
all the thoughts,
emotions, plans and hopes not only for
now, but for all of
the future. Parents lose the pregnancy
they have now, but
also all the dreams for the future, their
future, their
legacy, and all the dreams for that child.
